Mediagenix celebrates the Step-Up Internship Program

Mediagenix has entered into a second collaboration with the Step-Up Internship Program, an initiative aimed at enhancing diversity and inclusion in the top-tier legal job market across Europe. Mustafa Simsek, a talented law student, is currently completing a paid one-month internship with us and gaining valuable learning experience. "This experience shows me the value of working with colleagues who are not only experts in their field but also genuinely kind and encouraging," he says.

Brussels, August 21, 2024 — Mediagenix is proud to support the Step-Up Internship Program, which enhances access and provides equal opportunities for law students from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

“We believe our strengths come from our differences, and growth comes from learning and sharing,” said Olivia Vandenbrande, General Legal Counsel for Mediagenix. “The Mediagenix legal department is excited to be part of this initiative, helping level the playing field and providing a platform for talented law students to excel.”

Step-Up interns are placed within the legal teams of over 30 prestigious companies in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. They participate in two consecutive full-time paid internships of one month each, gaining practical legal experience, building professional networks, and gaining exposure to the operations of global high-tech legal departments. The participating companies, in turn, benefit from the fresh perspectives and diverse talents these motivated students bring.
