M-Connect 2024: Insights and vision shared at UAB and BAB
On 23 and 24 May, M-Connect 2024 unfolded in the historical city center of Ghent, Belgium. This dual experience event, featuring our 19th User Advisory Board (UAB) and our 2nd Business Advisory Board (BAB), provided a one-of-a-kind platform for inspiration, interaction, and networking.
The UAB, a highly anticipated event among our EMEA customers, is a platform for key users, system administrators, and operational professionals to delve into thought-provoking presentations, interactive sessions, and informal networking. We explored innovations, developments, and future directions in content strategy, content value management, and content scheduling capabilities.
Simultaneously, the BAB brought together senior executives and industry thought leaders for topical roundtable discussions, addressing media industry transformations and technological solutions with a focus on business agility.
Embracing change and innovation
In the plenary part of the event, keynote speaker Rik Vera urged the attendees to embrace change and innovation with curiosity. Setting the stage for later discussions, CEO Fabrice Maquignon provided an insightful overview of Mediagenix’s transformative journey, emphasizing the need for business agility and operational scalability in a digital age dominated by streaming and new business models. After a surprise sneak peek into the Mediagenix rebrand, which was to launch the week after, Gunel Mammadova from MBC shed light on operational challenges and the importance of a streamlined content supply chain.
Presentations and demos with interaction
For the rest of Day 1, the participants dived into presentations and demos, but it was all about interaction with Q&A, polls, and voting action. We talked all things FAST automation and linear scheduling, got creative and collaborative with content strategy, reveled in the magic of on-demand planning, and geeked out over connectivity, scalability, integrations, data intelligence, and AI.
Highlights included harnessing the power of a single source of truth with the Mediagenix Metadata Portal, and unlocking collaborative workflows with production houses via the Mediagenix Production Portal. We wrapped up with a peek into our product roadmap to the future.
Roundtable discussions and networking
In the evening, participants unwound and connected in a more casual setting against the picturesque backdrop of Ghent’s inner city, culminating in dinner at a historic venue.
Day two, aptly named Connect Day, fostered deeper connections among customers, who engaged in table talks, real-life use cases, and direct feedback sessions.
As the curtains closed on M-Connect 2024, participants left with strengthened relationships, newfound insights, and a shared vision for collaborative adventures ahead.
A huge THANK YOU to all participants, our amazing EMEA customers, for making M-Connect a massive success!
